Yesterday I took Audrey in for a well child check. Here are her stats:
12 months:
28 inches (11%)
19 lbs (37%)
Head 17.25 cm (20%)
15 months (now)
29.5 inches (20%)
20 lbs 6 oz (20%)
Head 17.5 cm (20%)
Audrey loves to play. She loves to look at the moon and asks to see it all day. She loves animals and most of the books she wants to read are about animals. Her favorite book is "Go Dog Go". She has moved past walking and now likes to run. She loves to get in on the action if we are playing with Soph and Soph is laughing or squealing. Audrey has a bit of defiance in her and if we tell her no about something she will often act like she is going to do it again and watch how we react. But other times she will listen and obey if we tell her something is a "no no". She is such a great little girl. She hardly cries and goes right to sleep for naps and bedtime. Right now we are transitioning to one nap (I think...). She also has been a great teether with hardly any symptoms. She is persistant and will ask and ask for something she wants to see (a decoration, the moon). She is a busy girl and loves to go and go and wants to go outside all the time. The thing we are most fascinated with right now is her desire to learn words. She says something new everyday.
Signs she knows:
elephant, bird, cat, dog, airplane (she made this one up), lotion (also made up), tree, all done, more, drink, eat, bread, cheese, apple, book, outside, sleep (night-night), please, hurt, love you, different, sad, sun, help
Words she says (to the best of her ability):
giraffe, tusk, goat, puppy, moon, shoes, birdy, baby, bottle, this, eyes, nose, mouth, wow, ooh ooh ahh (monkey sounds), more, milk, cheese, book, goodbye, bye, nana, papa, dada, mama, Mav (my brother's dog Maverick), nana (for banana), baa (sheep sound), teeth, Go Dog Go, booyah, ball, go go (which means go upstairs), no no, back, meow, poo poo, duck, hot, cold, apple, car, around, down, look, and a whole lot of gibberish.
You can see her in action in this video. Every time she says "dook" that means look. The sign she makes when she touches her fingers together is more.
