Bowen Island

The day after Sophia's birthday we went to Bowen Island.  We were going to go on her birthday but the weather looked like it might be a bit better the next day.  The trip consisted of a 40 min drive to the ferry terminal.  A very short ferry ride (20 min max) and then walking around the island.  We got some lunch at a small cafe and then walked through some trails to a waterfall, salmon latter, and a lagoon.  It was beautiful there although it wasn't my favorite thing we did in Vancouver.  There was a bus to the other side of the island but we didn't have time for that since we needed to get home to clean our apartment that night.  (We got the moving truck the following morning).

Braden and Soph checking out the boats.  You can see the ferry we took in the background.
Apparently hitchhiking is a big deal on Bowen Island.

Sophia loves to pick up rocks everywhere we go.  Any length of walk and I am sure to find a rock in her hand and sometimes I don't even see her pick them up.  Here she has three!  Once or twice after a walk, she has told me her rock needs to go potty to try to get me to let her bring the rock inside.

The cutest kitty princess!

The lagoon.  This side was freshwater.  We were on a path separating this from the ocean.

Such a happy baby!
