Maybe this should be called UBC vs BYU, but it also applies to Vancouver vs Provo.
At BYU, students are asked to live by the honor code which means students promise to not drink or use drugs, etc, even if it's legal. There are other things in the honor code about honesty, dress standards, and more. You can click on the link if you want to read it. There was even a basketball player suspended because he violated the honor code. You can read ESPN's coverage of that story here if you are interested.
With that background, I would like to let you know that our bedroom and hallway currently smell like marijuana because our bedroom window is open. This is not the first time. Keep in mind we are in staff, faculty, and family housing. And from our chats with some Canadian friends, this is not uncommon nor taken seriously.
We are not in Provo anymore...
I think it only becomes worrisome if you DON'T like the smell.
